Family Counseling Service strengthens children, individuals, and families by providing professional therapy, education, advocacy, and other support. We challenge systemic barriers that would prevent our community from seeking and receiving mental healthcare.
Non-medical factors that influence health outcomes are both symptoms and consequences of mental health issues. Family Counseling Service provides comprehensive mental healthcare that includes addressing issues that clients may not recognize as an impact on their mental health. By treating mental health symptoms as well as social determinants of health, Family Counseling Service impacts children, individuals, and families in a manner that has the potential to improve the community as generational patterns of dysfunction are broken.
